This site is mainly to show my friends and family what I’m up to in the sewing room 🙂 I’m entirely self-, Youtube-, and library-taught. I started with some introductory hand sewing (ties and the Oreo backpack), moved to hand embroidery, and then onto machine sewing garments, bags, and quilting. My favorite part about creation is the designing – I’m an engineer by training and to me, construction sewing is taking something 2D and making it 3D, and quilting is about taking something geometric and rendering it soft. I mainly use patterns off Etsy, free on the internet, library books, or Missouri Star Quilt Company. But I often modify patterns to fit me, my style, and my skill set.
